Top 5 Wednesday

Top 5 Wednesday is a GoodReads meme that I am joining for the first time with the topic/theme «Rail and air transport». This is going to be a pretty short post because I was kinda struggling to find books that I’ve read with air and rail transport, and I’m pretty sure a good amount of the books I was looking at have some sort of transportation in them, but I was pulling up a blank!

You can join in here.

But, then this title was staring me dead in the face «The Girl On The Train» by Paula Hawkins. Now, it has been years since I read this (I think it was summer 2016ish) and I think I must have enjoyed it because you should see the state of this poor book… Coffee stains, water stains, dog ears (don’t hate me) I am very careful with my precious books now!

So this is going to be a TOP 1 Wednesday post 😅(off to a Great start)

Anyways, here is the synopsis for the book 🙂

The Girl On The Train

Author: Paula Hawkins

Published: 2015

Genre: Novel, Mystery, Thriller, Suspense, Psychological thriller, Crime Fiction, Psychological Fiction, Urban fiction

“There’s something comforting about the sight of strangers safe at home.”

Rachel catches the same commuter train every morning. She knows it will wait at the same signal each time, overlooking a row of back gardens. She’s even started to feel like she knows the people who live in one of the houses. ‘Jess and Jason’, she calls them. Their life- as she sees it- i perfect. If only Rachel could be that happy.

Until Today

And then she sees something shocking. It’s only a minute until the train moves on, but it’s enough. Now everything’s changes. Now Rachel has a chance to become a part of the lives she1s only watched from afar.

Now they’ll see: she’s more than just thee girl on the train…

I know it’s been adapted to the big screen, but I have not seen it and I’m not planing on it (Unless people start recommending it ofc) BUT, I do plan on reading the book again sometime soon, because I am kind intrigued and I honestly don’t remember much so it would be like reading it for the first time again.

That’s all for today 🙂
